Edamame

So who likes edamame 😍 *raises hand*

You wouldn’t think salted steamed soybeans are the bomb-diggity, but they are. A friend introduced me to them a few years ago and I’ve since become pretty obsessed. You’ll find these as appetisers at Japanese restaurants and even popping up at some pubs around.

They are also very high in plant-based protein. Joy 🙌

To cook them, you will need:

  • 1 cup frozen edamame (found mine at my local supermarket near the frozen peas)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Good crack of salt

Steam the edamame for 6 minutes or so on the stove or in the microwave. Once cooked, salt them and serve with a bowl to put the (very tough) pods in. Just pop the beans into your mouth (: Yuuum!
